two days consecutively in a row i find myself in the office fixing codes rushing for the hawaii project to go QAS this coming week. my friend said i look like those who naturally likes to work... @$#%^@#%^%$ the whole morning i spent on fixing her code... some ppl just need a good spanking.
and there goes my good ol team lead to florida for a 2 weeks holiday.

guess i'm better off to compiling my list of excuses when things started to (which i'm quite confident it will) come tumbling down. let's start with "the cleaning lady stole the technical specs"...
this place where i'm staying is called "Valley Forge" (rumoured being an ancient recidency of mountain drawfs) and the commercial square nextdoor are called "the shire". basically, it's a big golf course with numerous IT blocky buildings scattered around, and also serve as considerably high class residental area. all in a forest filled valley (hence, VALLEY forge).
anyway, last few weeks there was this bus-full of hawaian highschool kids staying over in the hotel on their participation to some sport competition. wheres today, i woke up finding the hotel infiltrated with nasty looking asians (tattoo smoking piercing spiky hair), which i later took account most likely being korean highschool/uni student who came over for some soccer match or something. amongst the male dominated group i spotted a few hot ones, but too much a trouble to bother.
london bombed again *sigh*. and there was this emergency truck on siren which wizzed passed us yesterday reading "bomb squad". hotel bomb scare. and here right now, FBI is just next door to our Apple Vacation clients.
and also highlights of the morning. in the mailbox surprisingly i found a note from our sales director basically saying : "fcuk dun pay us on time, and they suxor, we damn pissed now." strange. i wasnt even awared that fcuk being one of our clients. :(
sour vegi and tender beef + rice for lunch, yummm. and my fortune cookie reads : "you will be successful in what you're working on now". does it mean my ability to read and understand this note? hmmmm.
it's weekend. seems like il need to be in the office the next two days to finish up the apple work. plus, my brother just informed me that RM has recently being released from the 3.8USD peg... which means, i'm much poorer being here by day now. :(
and last night i dreamt of stupid sow buying some kinda AMD op-wtf-thon dual processor for a girl he likes. and that's just so fking scary.
my team lead brought his spare 25inch tv over for me to use for the coming months. god bless this good hearted soul. ;) (he owns a xbox, i guess he knows how it feels like having a console and not being able to play them.)
last night the firealarm in the hotel went off at 3:50am. words is that some bugger heard ticking noise and suspect it being a bomb and alert admistration, hence, everyone is out on the carpark in their pyjamas under midnight foggy myst. woke me up and caused me a bad headache for whole day, and if that wasn't enough, another one came on around 5:30am. worst part is that no one actually gets the rope, OR breakfast complimentary coupons. $#%$%^%^%^ fk.
now, reeses peanut buttercups for pr0n, any takers? :D
here i am. in the office on a sunday morning. now the weather is getting bitchy i can't leave the block.
called uk. woken the birthday girl from her sleep. (now she's really gonna take a good aim at my gut this time.)

the office just informed me my stay in US will be extended to end of August. (now how am i suppose to live through another month here? *uurggh)

i've talked to the hotel manager bout my extended stay here and how boring it is living in her golf-course. she said she cant help me with the tv thing coz the company has an agreement with the cable to run their channels and disabling everything else.
however, she adviced me to get my own tv and refund them before i go back.
i was like "what??"
she smirked "this is america, baby. we all do that."
should probably go get a book to read or something. (and no harry potter).

a colleague brought her daughter to work today. so the 5 years old runs around the office poking everyone and anything she's curious on. which is kinda good coz that relieves the stressful atmosphere a lil. come to think of it, everyone in the US office here is married with children, and in every cubicle you will see pictures of little kids/babbies, and some of their artwork. i guess if everyone brings their kid to work, this place would be much fun. :)
oh yeah, star tv showed "Freddy vs Jason" and "Hero" last night. strange flick, with the later ones having chings talking english.

my support manager boss here is both a historian and militalist.
this morning he came into the office shouting "the mother land has won the bid!!". apparently, out of great odds the council has voted London for 2012 olympics over the hotter candidate Paris and NY.
a colleague also told me when the guy was in Germany for client meetings, the whole journey disgust him so much and the only satisfaction he got was when he reached Eder damn and took picture with victory signs. subsequently calling all his friends "hey, im the dam buster!!" (ref. Dam Buster). i was in dover earlier of the year, the coast overseeing operation overlord.
i hope he didnt go around marching in his london jack flag on independence like he said he would. since he's still fine and dandy in the office humming "oh baby come and light my fireee", i guess not.
oh and i also heard he does skateboarding too. (-_-*)

i heard the two girls in UK is planning for Holland and Spain in August. not sure it'll be a good idea, but i sure hate being left out in action. :(
getting to the office everyday involves a 5 min walk from the hotel to the commercial square next door, across a big green field plotted with numerous trees... a really quiet walk at times occasionally broken by few birds flying overhead, and vehiecles humming across the highway. and strangely when night draws close and the weather is cool, you get to see ALOT of fireflies in the area.
i dun know what came over me.. sometimes u will feel really tired and sad. so sad that u really feels like crying (or vomitting. cant tell). sow said he doesnt know what he wanted in life, come to think of it, neither do it. im doing considerably well in my career and im getting quite a good pay for it. but then again, u still wonder bout the purpose of life, the universe, and everything.
this is a nice place. but only in good companies. man is never made to be alone afterall.
(listenning to michael buble and enya on a rainny day makes me kinda bitchy.)
weekends! which means i survived my first week in this hostile country. to be honest, the few ppl i met ever since i landed at Newark and all along the way to Phili aint exactly the friendly type i would be expecting from UK. howvever, the people in the office is very friendly, which makes me feel bad not being equally friendly even when im quite focus/stressed on work.
strange thing bout US is, the place is so big they sorta ran out of names to call their town/city or something, so you get to see lotsa names like Winchester, London, Reading, Plymouth... all the english cities. well, either that or they still feel partially bonded to their mother nation. oh and btw, it's July 4th this weekend, independence day for US. the few English in the office is constantly cracking up jokes on how the dirty american got themselves away from them and how they would go on an anti independance parade in their london jack flag or something. funny guys.
back in Malaysia. Denise and Yokiee should be making their way to the airport now (11:59pm flight). extended training in kampung Farnham for another 3 months. am gonna miss them alot. now i gonna grease the office into diverting me there for a one week holiday before flying back to MY. will give them a call before the fly.
the ps2 is still in the luggage. and im starting on the origami project i printed and brought it all the way from MY. will drop by Phili city this weekend, i heard there's a LOVE letter monument there, a staircase where rocky did his victory hands-up scene (someone please explain this?), and the LIVE 8 concert.
