Here I am. This is me.
Define blue.
it's like a reality tv. you put 7 people in a 7x7 feet elevator, give them some seriously out of place food-material, and see who could outlast each other as time goes by. yup, i was for the first time, stuck, in an england elevator. being a fancy swanky apartment, this would be the last thing one would expect i guess. the whole process weren't too long i would say, 45min? but it's amazing what would happen to a person being slowly deprived of oxygen and space of freedom. the shitty com device connected itself to the manufacturer, which delivers poor communication quality, and having the receiving end seemingly half drunk on a saturday night, and our end full of excited/frantic shouting apes, really doesnt help much. luckily before the said contacted fireman arrived with crowbar and chainsaw, we managed to pry the door open a little, wide enough to leak in some cellular signal and send help to the other friends upstairs. but the stupid orange/maxis service delayed the sms until 45min later when our friends finaly came by with the security, WHO refure to open the elevator door despite having the key to it in fear that the whole thing might detach and gonna make a free fall (red queen perharps?). after few minutes, he's convinced that we gonna die anyway so he opened the door and let us out, all at his own risk. great.
went to london again last saturday. this time we started off from an accenture friend's service apartment (really posh place at the heart of london) and made our way to the camden flea market, then to the business district which is in a stone's throw to the tower bridge. camden is basically an english pasar malam selling antiques and alot of other stuffs (which im too lazy to clarify). the business district is a maze of cold modern concrete building, clearly signifies the strength of england economy (or so it seems). this is also where the famous egg-shape building is located. the place seems so cold and deserted on a saturday morning that u only see ocassional pigeons and newspaper carried by the equally solemn wind flying across the street. then we reach the tourist area, the tower bridge, the dunno wat castle, and the london warship anchored across the river on the old english docks. after that we went to china town to stock up some groceries for CNY cookings, then proceeded to Queensway and have a nice chinese style dinner, not too costy at british standard.
"england is a totally different experience altogether. every tree, every building, every sidewalk, and every stranger you meet on the subway... it's so different from where i lived for the last 24 years. i wish you could be here with me seeing what i have been seeing."

"Distance can actually tell you how strong the relationship is. I personnally think distance can strengthen the relationship. It is not just spending time together. Sharing each other experience is also part of it."
anne wrote that. true to some point. but most just died off before maturing to this stage anyway.
"i was afraid you gonna say that."

here's what happen when we're not in trainings.
notice the number of sap session up and running on the task bar. ;) sitting one meter apart and we still have to rely on YM for communications. notice how one of them actually suggested using email instead. :D
will be assigned to a senior consultant mentor today. and big daddy says we'll be given numerous small-whinny-not-so-important project work to help out from now on, just for the sake of getting hold of the whole picture of sap projects. will also be paying a visit to client site EMI next week. the girls are keeping their fingers crossed for robbie william being there. i however are kinda hoping for radiohead.
[updates]
the council has assigned me and denise to master kerrigan (mike) as his young padawan. and we'll be helping out with ian's work, details which will be briefed later (dang, we were so close in being assigned to catherin's project).
much to learn, we have. will be looking forward to see him on monday.

u listen to the way she sings it, especially when she's exchanging breathe between bars.. feels so breathless and empty inside. the small inhale sounds she does in extend expressed the solemn feeling meant in the song.
it's like the pain.. so deep. so hollow inside.
so. so. sad.
Journey (by : 張韶涵 - Chang, Angela)
曲:Corrinne May | 詞:Corrinne May | 編:
It's a long long journey
Till I know whera I'm supposed to be
It's a long long journey
And I don't know if I can believe
When shadows fall and block my eyes
I am lost and know that I must hide
It's a long long journey
Till I find my way home to you
Many days I've spent
Drifting on through empty shores
Wondering what's my purpose
Wondering how to make me strong
I know I will falter I know I will cry
I know you'll be standing by my side
It's a long long journey
And I need to be close to you
Sometimes it feels no one understands
I don't even know why I do the things I do
When pride builds me up till I can't see my soul
Will you break down these walls and pull me through
Cause It's a long long journey
Till I feel that I am worth the price
You paid for me on calvary Beneath those stormy skies
When Satan mocks and friends turn to foes
It feel like everything is out to make me lose control
It's a long long journey
Till I find my way home to you to you

it snowed this morning when we were in our sleep, followed by a small rain. so by the time we woke up there's only a little of it left on the cars. that's as much snow as we had till now... it snowed more on a town call 'basingstoke' bout 10 miles away though... i however suspect we wont be seeing any snow this winter. unless we're going to places like scotland or wales.
work just gotten alot busier lately. the UK ppl are training us with some basic practical work so we could help with the office and blend with the existing staffs. one of our trainer (he's 7 foot tall) is organizing a friendly match of badminton between us malaysian team and the uk staffs. having awared of malaysia being one of the top competators in the badminton arena, in his mass mail to the company he wrote "My concern is they may all be international standard!", which makes me a lot worrier since, despite the team's cocky attitude and eagerness, i seriously dun think any of those in the group are well skilled or even really do sports much... and they are bout only half the size of our 7 foot friend. i hope we dun bored our hosts, the least it should turn up being funny thus entertaining.
last week the company expressed that they would like to extend our stay. news is that some of us will be attached to an irish project in dublin and a few will be selected to support the uk operations. nothing has been confirmed, but il be having a dialog session with the boss probably on friday, will prompt him for company plans and more details before calling home for a decisions.
i would still like to hear her opinions though. even with the reply most probably be "make your career your top priority". but the point of asking in the first place does means something. i guess.
"problem with these people is not that they dun know a thing, but the fact that they think they DO know everything~!"

i can now dial into the office from my wooden lodge, have the modem there dial me routing the data back and log myself into the office network. complete with access to user mapped directory, SAP logon, and company exchange1 mailserver. with internet access now going 24/7, life has just gotten a lot better.

went to Brighton yesterday. a coastal town on the south coast of england, to which i then realised being much bigger than anticipated earlier. wasnt even aware of its existance before we found in out from the map tracing the coasts from portsmouth. the place turned out to be a nice laid back town with get-away villas lined up facing the sea. suspecting itself being a fishing town in the earlier days, it has grown in a substantial degree, now the seaside town house a blend of modern shopping haven and a distinctive scent of historical remains. Brighton has a long history involving wales (the prince of wales, to be percise). it was said the town was favoured by the early prince as a get-away spot, where he often practise his not-so-princehood activities. the coming of the royalties gradually brought up the place, historical monuments are spreaded across the town having each named in a strangely-french name. obviously the stench of french lingers the area judging from the structural designs of churches being much similiar to those of notre dam. famous amongst the old stones errected was the 'royal pavilion', which were built by the prince, in a distinctive arabian design. strange.
a relaxing trip. it's not until i saw the sea did i realise how much ive missed the great blue. it reminded me so much bout home, and the people back home. lucky an sms came in reassuring everything is fine... il need to call back soon as the company has extended my stay in uk, and the express of interest in attaching myself to the dublin project... il have to call back soon.

sometime not too ago i posted bout a program call "centarsia" (ref Thursday, April 01, 2004 post). now in case you're still to lazy to go around digging thru my history, il just tell you that the program does clever mossaic effect with your photos. but the catch was that in order to fully enjoy the functionality of the program, you'll have to mail them a postcard and they'll send you the serial number (thus, postcard-ware).
having valentine being around the corner again and myself being 14,000km from where im supposed to, it's time to get clever again with this year's gift. and so i went back to centarsia trying to get their address thinking of mailing them a card since im so much nearer to them now being here in uk. but wala, seems that responses from them had been overwhelming over the years and they have given up trying to mail everyone who sent them a postcard thus deciding to distribute the registration for free.
go here.
wont want to post their serial here. out to respect, just go look it up in their site.

some bits which ive came across having my mind constantly wandering off in the brain blowing trainings.
http://www.japanippon.com/classroom.htm
written by a canadian who went living in the foreign land (with strange reasons given). gives good practical examples in speaking things like "you're drunk again, arent u?", "it is a pen, god damn it~!", "mr clinton is not a cat. it is a weasel" and "there is no pub here, where is the brothel?".
tons of practical and funny examples with detail explaination to the grammer. good way of learning something fast and lasts.

the funny attempt for human to create artificial intelligent has gone into stage two. i personally would still consider this a piece of junk until they came to implement something which shoots lasers (those which blows up on contact like the 60s movie) and gloat in the most evil ways.
also worth looking at is the now new roboraptor. that too needs improving by equiping it with a motion sensor and an option to set it in berserk mode so the dino will chase watever moving objects and bite them with its hydrolic jaws.
