Here I am. This is me.
Define blue.
I was tabbing a particular song last night, not to my surprise to find it best played in full bar chord, a skill which a self taught guitarist rarely picked up. Determine to get the song done, I went looking for pointers using the complicated yet richly sounding chords. Came across this diagram which tells everything. Useful.
Explains much
I've done guitar,
bass,
and drum.
going for piano next (hope it's not too late).
p/s : will be in melaka for the weekend. c u guys.

...The lead programmer surprised us at our cubicle : "what's up prairie dogs?!" he beamed. And for a moment I was tranfixed, pulled a fake "I have no idea what are you talking bout" smile, and was troubled by the expression following then... was it some kinda technical joke which I didn't get? Coz I do know bout dogs, the only name which comes near is the alaskian huskies, and cookie monster (which, as everyone has probably figured, is actually a dog). So, naturally I did a google on it and found a satisfying answer...

So he was refering us as a gun-tottling-trigger-happy-dog-thing, hur?... not a bad desciption afterall, taking the fact that we ARE a gun-tottling-trigger-happy-animal... guess I'm safe to go back to my slacking... I mean, hacking.. I mean... oh nvm.
p/s : should watch out my frequency in bringing up the word "guns", "bomb", "worm" and "soap"... having the latest queries on the server statistic reveals some military activities going on... any of you happened to have an over-bored friend in the US army or intelligence?
I'm just naturally incline to fill my emptiness with worries.

It's your moment of peace. You felt strong, safe, and satisfied. So Zen you thought you have everything sorted out and got over with, capable of taking hands on the whole world by yourself, your Ki and karma overflows emitting a nourishing radiant aura.
Civilization. men at it's best.
And at that split seconds when everything is ever wonderful the way you imagine everyone in this world is loved, well fed and animals lives peacefully a vegetarian, emotions strike. Out of no where, more deadly than lightning, silent and totally unpredictable, harassing and scorching the same pain over and over again. And then it goes, everything falls back to square one. Ground zero.
In a time line long enough... everyone's survival rate drops to zero.

Too much convocation and u just might end up getting addicted to it. Last Saturday while the clubbers swarmed Genting Highlands for the Salem Rave party (damnit, I missed the event), we went to University Malaya 2003 convocation meeting up two particular friends. Actually the formal purpose was to throw my two graduating friend up a tree, but my hidden agenda, was infact to pay a visit to the annual convocation parade, where military will put on display their cool boys' toys... The silencer fixed H&K mp5, Vietnam war mass manufactured commando-made-famous m-16 (equipped with weaver rail, night Hi-cap scope, front grip hold and a fragment grenade launcher), WWII fighter mounted .50 caliber machine gun, standard SAS sidearm colt with torchlight, and numerous gear such as gas mask, Kevlar vest and bomb disarming suits.
Actually, the obsession into firearms and tactical combat came a long way... it's not like I'm raised in a communist family or running a border firearms smuggling family business, but I received a fair amount of cadets and military training at a younger age... long weeks into army camps, forest scouting and recon, and at times joining up police forces for tactical training. Bizarre ain't it? Never had a single sense of becoming a gun tottling cop someday but I just like tactical stuffs, planning, fast and quick resolve of tense situation... and while in the middle of it, feed on the excitement, adrenaline rush, and sense of burning muscle pumped with batteries acid... before I got too carried away... here are some pictures taken on the UM convocation instead... ;)

I sense a disturbance in the force... in fact, I always sense a disturbance in the force... either it's some unknown meteor heading towards earth some light years away capable of blowing us into eons of oblivion, or some never-called friends strolling nearby intending to have me reformat their computer (NO, I WILL NOT REFORMAT YOUR COMPUTER!!). or maybe it's the fact that as i sit here, killions of computer users out there are scratching their heads (and nuts) over the constant disturbance of a RPC error forcing them to reboot, whenever they are having a good time doing-whatever-they-do on the internet. I warned you, so don't say i didnt. and i warned you like 3 days ago when the worm is just a nymph... (Judging the fact that me, Sow and Kim constitute a 80% of the total traffic, my warning has well been heeded indeed). Now, most of everyone i know is an infested host. One thing which im glad though... is that on 16th of august all the killions of machine connected to the internet will launch a synchronized denial-of-service attack to Microsoft’s update center... oh, boy, they will be soooo owned. Launching a havoc over a rich-life-sucking OS giant such as Microsoft (analogically portraying the heroic act of robin hood against the notorious prince john) is a controversial thing to argue about, which is but, still literaly not right. Even so, i kinda respect the author of lovsan (a.k.a. mblaster) worm.. in the wake of such attack there will be more alert administrator, cautious users, annoyingly worried microsoft personnel... all which will, as predicted, fade in time... at least until history repeats itself again.
Mail me for a Lovsan/Blaster worm FAQ and removal guide.
16 August… *giggle* oh boy. ;)

I'm back from my convocation (actually it was three days ago). The whole journey has been quite a rush for me. Having to travel 400km to and fro in less than 48 hours is never my idea of an enjoyable trip. It was indeed a strange feeling reseeding, returning to the place I spent most of my time for the previous four years. Everything were so familiar... the usual hangouts, people, and places where memories forever marked. Slightly different of where it is from how it was in a one year of missing memory. The place still lives on a life of its own without me being amongst them... guess I'm not the center of universe after all. Now upon realizing I won't be seeing the place as often, it was the first time I kinda felt like missing it.
It was such a strange thought, that when I was in university I urged everyday like its last so soon I be done with my student life and submerge into the working world. Hence, here I am, this is me living my dreams. Not really my idea for a milestone. No sooner had we realized, having ourselves living for the future have we forsaken the present... all the time wasted. Doing things we hate buying stuffs we don't need, trying to become the person Gucci, Armani and Time tells us to. This seems more overwhelming whenever I took a pause on the road and glance back over my shoulder... all the memories, all the "only if"?. My university life has been a great moment, so was high school... but was it lived to its greatest potential? Sadly, I think not. Then again, who would have really lived, without having any regrets?
You only live life once, which is what makes life so precious I guess.
I kinda spent all my Ki writing long mails. So, here's some photos taken on the convocation instead...

Why on earth does all the good things always come in bundles?
Another massive virus attack, and this one tops the threat list of all previous virus attack lately. I won't make an epical story telling out of this, this one is spreading itself fast, and wide... which means, having being stupid or not doesn't gives a difference here... (that is, if you're using windows and trusting it to be safe... in that case, makes you half a turd i guess).
The worm hangs your windows forcing it to reboot itself through windows DCOM RPC exploitation. You would likely to encounter such experience when you went online. XP and win2000 user infestion are imminent (reported to affect older NT version as well). To make itself more efficient, while it still inhabits the host, it prevents users from patching windows or doing remote scanning on your local machine.

Again, I've being disturbed from my pilgrim of grief... for there is another virus threat at large. This one is as interesting at every point, as the last W32.Mimail.A@mm worm. It comes in two format (*.exe and *.htm), randomly named but often in a preference with the user id of whatever emails it has caught on it's wide spreading infestation. This worm causes more confusions than havoc. If you get one, it means someone stupid who has your email actually opened the attachment and got himself rooted. IF you receive an email containing that virus from someone... chances is that the same letter with your forged email is also being sent to others from the stupid guy's pc. Up along the line, there's always an asshole which triggers the chain of destruction... and the world is just never short of such gifted people.
For more information. See W32.Nolor@mm. And yes, W32 means it's a windows based virus. Hoo-fucking-ray.
Don’t look at me. I'm clean.

Thank you for your care and tolerance on my bad behavior, despite, you know... all the bad things which happened. It has been an invaluable experience, through joy and enough pain... emotions seems more unrelevant now. I am ready to move on. As a friend once said to me, sometimes I tried too hard in keeping every problem unto my shoulders labouring down most of the things I was reluctant to let go. All I could do now, she said, is to be there for her whenever she needs it.
I hope tomorrow brings sunshine. It has been a long time since i last took a nice walk in the morning breeze and think only of what to eat for lunch.
Leaving town. I'll catch you guys when I get back, aight? Till then, keep watching the stars.

Normally I won't bother to put myself in purposely warning others regarding virus treat and vulnerabilities, yell as you would and there's still somebody who would push the red button out of curiosity once in a while, and as far as i recall, it was curiosity which first got us into this whole terrible mess (Adam : hey eve! we got a forbidden fruit! Eve : no way dude?! Adam : yes way dude!!). As I believe (and i still does) is that it's always the practice which counts, never the preventions. I don't think it makes your house any safer by installing a massive lock just to leave the key under your door mat.
Anyway, this particular worm (W32.Mimail.A@mm) feasts on the practical fear of a common computer user, loosing your precious data. First it cleverly forge the incoming user email, having it be admin@[whateveryourmaildomain] and contains a mysterious message regarding your email termination. Now, it may seems doubtful to have an explanation appended in a separate attachment (message.zip)... but the thing certainly make you think twice. Plus, Yahoo mail recently has unplugged it's content scanning function depriving you from your usual precautions taking routine. The zip contains a harmless looking Message.htm file, which it SHOULD be, but thanks to Microsoft, Message.htm uses a code base exploit to create a copy of the worm named Foo.exe in the Temporary Internet Files folder, and then runs it. It then scan your HD file by file looking for email addresses and thus multiplying themselves. Wicked.
The last known trickery which focus on human nature is the hotmail-javascript prank which ask you for re-validation, suck your login and password to a distant remote area which you cant do a fuck about. This one plays a more sinister stunt, convincing your email will be deleted (which is doubtful), until you question the possibility realizing the fact that, you DO have some hanky panky stuffs which happened to be buried within your mass of online stash. aha.

What's worst than waking up in a cold rainy Monday morning? Definitely, waking up in a cold rainy Monday morning with sudden realize that your last suicidal attempt cost you your hair. Man, I never seem to get my hair cut the way I like.
This coming weekend, I'm suppose to go back to my university wearing the over-sized graduation grown taking fake paper roll from some fat mister potato guy who is, supposedly, very important and respectable. Now UTM, well known for it's Harley driving, drunk, fight-picking thug-guards... known to have the tendency of picking arguments on students... and usually the length of hair kept is the favorite topic. Sounds real screwed? You bet they are.
Instead of having to go through all the rabble with those annoying pest again, I decided to get a short nip on my hair so I can "barely" qualify for the convocation event without picking up much attention. The hair stylist told me long hair dun look good with the graduation cap, I much kinda believe him until he got excited with everything and started haying them down. It was definitely a bad call, but at least I dun need to worry bout cutting my hair again in another year.... *my hair?! MY HAIR~~!!!
Worst thing that could happen before having a dinner with your best friend and her guy. *duh.

bad ass cut.

I always liked July. A month when birthdays come in bundles, when nights were spent trying to declare consciousness over the too-obvious chemistry effects of extra booze. I don't drink much, just occasionaly. But it happens that every weekend in july is an occassion. A month where laughter is abundant.
Many things turned up in July, both good and bad. It was a busy month i would gladly moved to the back of my head and move on. It is to my habit that at times, I seems to remember all the bad things far too well... so relentlessly getting caught in the endless loop of miseries. No one promised life would be easy. And the worst that could ever happen is that now, I'm still alive.
August would be an interesting month. With lots of events marked on my calendar : runs, trips, gatherings... On top of all, I will be heading back to uni for my convocation (10/8 sunday), with old friends meeting up comparing their employment salaries, then having the lesser boasting their company's flexibility, benefits and how bad it "should" feels like working in a handsomely paid, gigantic tarantula multinational company... Ego, in some sense, can be a virtue... but ego in the size which flooded even the great colloseum, is asking for a good kick square in the nuts. This month, just maybe, I'll be getting some vacation in a tropical island. August also appears to be the fourth month of my employment. If they do have the idea to confirm me, it would be anytime now. Then I would get a car and run someone over.

Hi. My name is Shin. And this, is my posting. (posted on 31/07.. accidentally deleted)
Apparently. This page has been up for sometime. Yet this is but my first official post... I'm kinda waiting the right time to cut the ribbons and make a grand finale "tada~" impression (Occures to me July 31st seems to b a good memorable date). But the fact remains that I'm just a little bit skeptical in writing stuffs which appears for public viewing, friends and people around... some whom I've very much known of, and some of them really close friends. However, the page serves the purpose of having those who-care-to-know updated on where I am and where I am heading next.
Infact. There are many, very, proficient writers who can do magik with words... (for instance : miss Alexandra Kleeman and her gang of writers, or a girl name alex). Some how their mind seems to function in a manner that most stupid writers don't (but if you don't agree with me, well. to the fuck with you then). Most of them, if not literacy superior, are very creative, with a good sense of humor and a fair share of sunshine. Some however are packed with a disturbing punch of hatred and angst, which makes me wonder at times what could have the author gone through to behave in such a depressive voltaire state. I write, but I don't like the idea of writing in a restricted manner, in sense of being grammatically correct and publically comprehensible, or even for a good moral certainty. I write just because I feel like writing. Therefore, more a journalist than a blogger... or "blorg", which I prefer calling these extraordinary group of people. And no, star trek is gay.
Once again, thank you for reading the first post. And for the good of this world. Vote Shin, for president. And I promise I will bring you daily dossage, tons of crap. Thank you for your time, Shin signing off.
